Young puppies will require vaccinations for a range of diseases. Your vet is a qualified professional who can answer any health question regarding your puppy as well as determining what vaccinations are required.
flea and worm control
Protection from fleas and worms is an important part of every puppy's health regime. Fleas are a common and constant problem, particularly in the warmer months. A flea collar, flea shampoo or topical spot applicator flea remedy will provide ongoing protection for your dog. At the same time you should also ensure bedding in the dog's environment and your household are protected by 'flea bombing' or 'flea spraying' your home. Ideally flea eradication methods should be effective against all life stages of the flea : adult, larvae and eggs.
Puppies should be fully wormed every every two weeks, up to three months of age, and then at three monthly intervals with an All Wormer that controls Tapeworm, Roundworm, Hookworm and Whipworm. There are commercially available worming remedies that are more palatable, easy to use and effective.
